Wolverhampton Wanderers are managerless yet again, after the club's governing board decided to wield theaxe on Italian boss Walter Zenga, just 87 days after he was appointed at the helm.
The Midlands club are struggling in the Sky Bet Championship and currently sit in 18th place, with Zenga winning just 4 of his 14 league games in charge. Many are not surprised with the decision to get rid of the former Italian keeper, with the hiring of Zenga a strange one in itself.
Kenny Jackett's replacement had lost 4 of his last 5 and was reportedly backed by the players despite another league defeat last weekend, to Leeds United. After that game,the Daily Mailreported Zenga as saying the following.
"We have to continue to work hard, don't think everything is negative because the only negative is the result. We had an important meeting after the game, only me and the players, and I am sure 100 per cent that things are going to change."

The club released the followingstatement on theirwebsite; "Wolves have announced that Walter Zenga's contract has been terminated with immediate effect. Stefano Cusin, Assistant Head Coach has also left the Club.
"Wolves will be conducting a thorough process to recruit a new Head Coach and won't be revealing any timescales associated with this important task. Rob Edwards, First Team Coach, has been placed in interim charge of the first team, supported by Under 23s Coach, Scott Sellars.
"The Club would like to extend their thanks and best wishes to Walter and Stefano for their contribution to Wolves during the season so far. Wolves will be making no further comment at this stage."
