Women’s Premier League: Gladys Amfobea, 3 others nominated for Player of the Month for April

Highly-rated midfielder, Gladys Amfobea has been nominated for the Player of the Month Award for April in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.

She is just one of three players in the Women’s Premier League shortlisted for the top monthly award.

The other players include Victoria Salifu, Princess Owusu, and Helen Obeng.

“Four players have been nominated for the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League NASCO player of the month for April. They include, Gladys Amfobea of Ladystrikers - scored 5 goals and won one player of the match award.

“Victoria Salifu of Berry Ladies – scored four goals and won one player of the match award.

“Fabulous Ladies’ Princess Owusu scored six goals, won one player of the match award in April and Helen Obeng of Prisons Ladies is on the list for her impressive performance in the month. She scored six goals and won two player of the match awards,” parts of a communique from the Ghana FA said on Monday, May 8.

According to the Ghana FA communique, the winner of the NASCO Player of the Month award for April will receive a 32-inch NASCO Television set from Electroland Ghana.

The winner will be announced on Friday, May 12.
