Ghana youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku says working with Leicester Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca for how he has made him comfortable at the club.

The 19-year-old, loaned from Sporting Lisbon, joined the Foxes just a day before the summer transfer window closed. Fatawu credited the Italian manager for enabling him to pursue his ambitious styles freely.

"With what the coach has given me here, I feel so comfortable," Fatawu told BBC Radio Leicester’s ‘When You're Smiling’ podcast.

"It makes me confident to do what I want.

"I like to go and try things. I like to play with the ball, I always want to have the ball and run into space and create chances for the team.

"I thought if I play with him [Maresca] in this role, it will be a good way for me to improve."

Since donning the blue jersey, the Ghanaian international has made seven appearances for Enzo Maresca's squad, securing a spot in the starting lineup for Leicester's last three Championship fixtures.

Leicester City has demonstrated formidable form this season, triumphing in nine out of ten Championship matches, thereby clinching the top spot in the league standings.

Fatawu's impact was evident in their recent clash against Blackburn, where he provided his first assist of the season, setting up Wout Faes for a crucial goal in their commanding 4-1 victory at Ewood Park.
