World Cup 2022: All Black Stars jerseys for tournament already in Doha; reports suggesting jerseys have been left in Ghana are false

Footballghana can clarify that reports suggesting that the Black Stars left their jerseys in Ghana before the trip to Abu Dhabi are false.

Such reports carried by any portal or shared on social media must be disregarded. Our man on the grounds has confirmed that all jerseys including training kits to be used by the national team were sent straight to Qatar by PUMA per an agreement with the Ghana FA.

The jerseys packed in boxes for the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament are at the team’s based in Doha awaiting the start of the tournament.

Meanwhile, training kits and a set of jerseys to be used for the friendly match against Switzerland in midweek are in Abu Dhabi where the team is currently holding a pre-tournament camp.

“There were reports in the Ghanaian social media that the Black Stars left their jerseys in Ghana. It is not true. All jerseys for World Cup have already arrived in Doha in the Black Stars hotel. Those to be used at the training camp is also at the training camp and new jerseys were worn by the players today as they started their training

“These are boxes of jerseys of the Black Stars jerseys and equipment already in Doha,” our man on the ground has confirmed.

Meanwhile, Ghana FA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo has advised against false reportage to allow the technical team and the Black Stars to concentrate and prepare for the task at hand.
