Midfielder Baba Iddrisu is set to miss the 2022 World Cup due to knee injury.

The Black Stars midfielder started for his club in their matchday 14 encounters against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga.

Unfortunately, he could not finish the first half of the intense encounter. In added time, he limped off and had to be substituted during the break.

This injury is a huge blow for Black Stars coach Otto Addo ahead of the Mundial because he has been present in most of the games played under the Dortmund tactician.

Ghana will play it's last international friendly game against Switzerland on November 17th in the United Arab Emirates before flying to Qatar.

The Black Stars of Ghana is in Group H alongside Uruguay, Portugal, and South Korea. Ghana will play Portugal on 24th November, South Korea on 28th November and play their final group game against Uruguay 2nd December.

According to reports, Ghana will train at the famous Aspire Academy in Doha, Qatar.

The 27-year-old midfielder has made eleven appearances in the Spanish top flight this season.

Baba Iddrisu made his debut for the senior national team the Black Stars on 14th November 2019. The former Leganes B midfielder has played 18 times for the Black Stars.
