A member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council, Dr. Tony Aubynn has applauded the Black Stars for their performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, the Ghana national team despite exiting the tournament at the group stage did not disgrace themselves at all.

“Before the tournament, Ghana was least favorite to win the competition. I think the team didn't disgrace themselves at all, many supporters from different countries appreciated our performance and believed the future looked bright,” Dr. Tony Aubynn said in an interview with Akoma FM.

The Ghana FA Exco member added, “Even though we were unable to win the competition, we really raised the flag high.  Let's focus on the positives because this team is still young and with time, they will come good.

At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana faced off with Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.

The Black Stars managed to beat South Korea but unfortunately, lost to Portugal and Uruguay.
