World Cup 2022: Ghana coach Otto Addo announces 26-man squad for tournament

Ghana head coach, Otto Addo has officially unveiled his final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Germany-trained tactician announced his 26-man squad for the tournament on Monday, November 14.

Find below the full lits of the squad that features two Ghana Premier League players.

Goalkeeper:

Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Abdul Nurudeen Manaf, Danlad Ibrahim

Defenders:

Dennis Odoi, Tariq Lamptey, Alidu Seidu, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, Abdul Rahman Baba, Gideon Mensah,

Midfielders:

Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, Elisha Owusu, Salis Abdul Samed, Mohammed Kudus, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Kamal Sowah, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu

Forwards:

Osman Bukari, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be one of five African countries representing the continent.

The Black Stars will compete in Group H of the group stages of the tournament. In that group, Ghana will battle it out with two-time champions Uruguay, as well as European giants Portugal.

The other group opponent is South Korea from Asia.

While the 2022 FIFA World Cup will commence on Sunday, November 20, Ghana’s Black Stars will play their first match on November 24.

Subsequently, Ghana will take on South Korea on November 28 before finishing the group stages campaign with a rematch against Uruguay.
