World Cup 2022: Ghana will increase chance of progression with win against South Korea

Ghana will help boost its World Cup campaign with a win against South Korea on the 28th of November.

The game on Monday will be played at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

The task ahead is great but the players after the game against Portugal assured supporters they will fight to get the win against the Asian giants.

“We always come out of difficult situations. We need to stay calm, go home, relax and increase our performance. We need to try and score more and concede less," Ayew said after the Portugal game.

Ghana's first game ended in defeat against Portugal on Thursday. Cristiano Ronaldo became the first man to score in five World Cups as his dubious penalty was Portugal's first in the encounter. Ghana equalised through Andre Ayew in the 73rd minute.

Portugal immediately responded with quickfire goals from Joao Felix and substitute Rafael Leao. Osman Bukari headed home Ghana's second goal in the 89th minute.

Coach Otto Addo in his post match statements described the game against South Korea as crucial. He also slammed the Moroccan-born American referee for bad officiating.

"The referee gave a penalty which was not a penalty - everyone saw that. Why? Because it's Ronaldo or something?"

"The referee was not in our favour,"
