World Cup 2022: Our performance is not about miracles; it’s hard work – Morocco coach Walid Regragui

Morocco national team head coach, Walid Regragui has stressed that the impressive displays of his team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup are all thanks to their hard work.

According to him, the journey of the Atlas Lions has not been a miracle but rather a result of the work put up by everyone who is part of the national team.

“It is not about miracles, but about the hard work that we have gone through during our journey so far. The World Cup is wonderful for the players. I was hoping to participate in the tournament as a player, but fate gave me the opportunity to return as a coach to become the happiest person on the face of the earth. Earth, now we can dream of winning the World Cup,” coach Walid Regragui said.

Courtesy of the impressive displays of the coach and his players, they are now through to the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

At the last four stages, Morocco will face off with defending world champions France.

That game is scheduled to kick off at 19:00GMT on Wednesday, December 14.
