World Cup 2022: Players going to Qatar while playing in Africa constitute just 2% of total players

After a very long wait, the world is now just five days away from the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ahead of the start of the mundial, here is how the various continents will be represented in Qatar in terms of players that play in those continents.

At the tournament, players playing for European clubs are the most that will be representing the qualified countries with 73%.

Unfortunately, just 17 players playing their football in Africa will be at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Ghana Premier League will have two players at the tournament including Hearts of Oak poster boy Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.

The 17 players constitute just 2% of the total number of players that will be playing at the Qatar tournament.
