Andre Ayew, skipper of the Black Stars, says the squad is ready for their first game in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and hopes to get off to a good start.

Andre Ayew is confident of a win over Ethiopia's Walias, as the Black Stars want to kick off their campaign with a solid score.

The squad arrived in Cape Coast on Tuesday to begin preparations for the game, having begun initial warm up training on Monday at Mac Dan Park.

The Al Sadd attacker stated during the pre-match news conference alongside coach CK Akonnor that the Black Stars are ready for the game against Ethiopia.

"We know the task ahead of us".

"It’s a very important game and we want to start this World Cup qualifier really well at home".

"It is time to do the job well. Its six games and we want to win this one in front of the fans," he concluded.

The game against Ethiopia will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium.
