South Korea have been handed a major squad boost ahead of the clash against Ghana on Monday, November 28.

This is because highly-rated defender Kim Min-jae has recovered from his injury and is now in contention to start against the Black Stars later this afternoon.

The SSC Napoli centre-back was in action for South Korea last Thursday and featured for his national team in the opening Group H match against Uruguay.

In a game that ended goalless, Kim Min-jae picked up an injury that raised a lot of concern on whether he will be involved in the remaining group stage matches after the game.

Subsequently, there were more worry after the defender missed two days of training with his South Korea teammates.

Fortunately, the defender felt better on Sunday and joined his teammates for training.

While he has not recovered 100%, Kim Min-jae is in contention to start at the back for South Korea.

His coach Paulo Bento has a lot of confidence in him and is expected to start the defender to stabilize his defense.

The game between South Korea and Ghana is scheduled to kick off at 1pm today.
