World Cup 2022: South Korea midfielder Lee Kang pumped up ahead of Ghana game after impressive display against Uruguay

RCD Mallorca midfielder Lee Kang-in finally had the chance to make his first appearance at a FIFA World Cup tournament last Thursday.

He was given a chance to play when his country South Korea locked horns with Uruguay in a Group H encounter of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

In a game that ended in a goalless draw, Lee Kang-in was on of the best players for his country and earned a lot of cheers from the supporters in in the stance.

Speaking after the game, the attacking midfielder expressed his delight about playing a first world cup game and stressed the he hopes for a win against GHana.

"It was so much fun. I feel the happiest when I play as a player,” Lee Kang-in said.

Speaking on the decision to play the Spain-based midfielder in the game against Uruguay, Paulo Bento who is South Korea head coach said, "Overall, it was decided according to which part of the team needed support." That's why I put in Lee Kang-in."
