Two-time world champions, Uruguay will aim to upset Ghana later today in their final Group H game at the Al Janoub Stadium at the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Both sides come up against each after their first meeting 12 years ago in South Africa in 2010.

The Black Stars were on the verge of semifinal qualification but a deliberate Luis Suarez handball prevented Dominic Adiyah's goal-bound header from crossing the line.

Asamoah Gyan failed to convert the spot kick with the team suffered heartbreak after losing 4-2 on penalty shoots after 120 minutes of action.

With Ghana sitting second with three points after two games played, the West African side need just a draw to make it to the last 16 while the South American side who are just a point need to win to progress.

Having failed to play the next round of the 2014 Mundial in Brazil, Ghana are hoping to make it to the Round of 16 under Otto Addo.

Lead striker, Luis Suarez speaking ahead of the game reiterated that they are aware of Ghana's threat but they know to beat to the West African side and are determined to beat the four-time African champions.
