World Cup 2022: We are fired up for the tournament - Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo

Ghana striker, Antione Semenyo says the Black Stars are geared up for the 2022 World Cup which gets underway on Sunday in Qatar.

The Black Stars wrapped up their preparations with a 2-0 win over Switzerland in an international friendly played on Thursday at the Zayed Sports City Stadium.

The Bristol City striker scored in the 74th minute after Mohammed Salisu opened the deadlock in the 70th minute.

Speaking after the game, the young and enterprising forward could not hide his excitement.

According to him, it feels good to score, and added that they are fired up for the World Cup.

"It feels so good to score my first goal,” he said.

"This gives us confidence because everyone is firing at the moment which is good for the team going to the World Cup," he added.

Ghana will hold their final training on Friday before jetting to Doha on November 19.

The four-time African champions have been housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay for the tournament that kick off from November 20 to December 18.

Semenyo will hope to get game time at the Mundial.
