Ghana head coach Otto Addo has heaped his players for securing their first win at the 2022 World Cup with a 3-2 victory on South Korea on Monday.
Black Stars took a 2-0 lead courtesy of goals from Mohammed Salisu and Kudus but two stunning headers in three minutes from Cho Gue-sung levelled the game after 61 minutes.
Kudus added a final twist when he thumped in a third for Ghana to break South Korea's hearts.
"We knew that it would be difficult for our defenders to follow him when Heung-Min Son tried to get inside from the side," coach Addo said after the game.
"In the process of defending Korea’s attack, we suffered a lot of crosses. Korea was a strong team. We were lucky in the end and we were able to win in the end."
Black Stars are currently second in Group H and will take on Uruguay in their final group game. A win or draw will see Ghana through to the last 16 of the competition.
Ghana are the third African country after Senegal and Morocco to secure a win in the second round of matches in the tournament.
