World Cup Winner Sacked by Stuttgart After Street Brawl With Youths That Left Him in Hospital

Kevin Grosskreutz has been sacked by German sideStuttgart after an altercation on a night out in the city, which left the 2014 World Cup winning defender in hospital.


Grosskreutz was said to have been assaulted by four youths between the ages of 16 and 19at around two in the morningwhilst out with friends, and according toBILD, this was the last straw for the Stuttgart management who had grown increasingly tired of the star's off the pitch controversies.

It is reported that the 28-year-old former Dortmund playeris now on the hunt for a new club after a two hour meeting in hospital with club officials.


Witnesses claim that the German international smashed his head against the pavement when attacked, and Grosskreutz took to social to show the extent of the damage he sustained in the incident.

After joining Stuttgart only 12 months ago, from Galatasaray, Grosskreutz has become an integral part of their season. However, reports have claimed that the defender has had various different run ins with club management, and this appears to have been the incident to push them over the edge.
