Wrong Way! Twitter Trolls Arsenal's Petr Cech After Poor Penalty Saving Record Grew Against Stoke

Published on: 10 December 2016

When Petr Cech signed for Arsenal in 2015, many believed it to be one of the bargains of the century, with the shot-stopper swapping west London for north London for just £10m.

Known for his incredible consistency and love of keeping clean sheets, the Gunners faithful felt they had finally replaced the likes of David Seaman or Jens Lehmann to mount a serious surge for the title.

However, what they didn't know, that during this short trip across the country's capital, the Czech Republic international had completely forgotten how to save a penalty.

The man who infamously saved Arjen Robben's extra-time spot-kick in the Champions League final currently has a blank from 12-yards for his new club, having faced seven penalties, and conceding seven, most recently failing to stop Charlie Adam putting Stoke into the lead at the Emirates on Saturday.

Arsenal came back to win 3-1, but that didn't stop Twitter from trolling the 34-year-old left, right and centre for his efforts:

I think once they blow penalty, Cech should just go and stand with the players at the edge of the box and watch the penalty taken..

If Cech is to save a penalty to save ur life
Just choose the colour of coffin u want for ur burial beforehand
