The U-20 playmaker was called as a replacement for Leicester City’s Jeffery Schlupp who is injured but thinks this is the time for him to also get into the team hence his invitation.

Speaking to GHANASoccernet.com in an interview, the youngster said, “I’ll say the call up has come at the right time. I have been working so hard on and off the pitch to attract such a call up and it couldn’t have come at any better time.

“I won’t say the call up has come at an earlier time because this is the time God says I should be there and I am there.

“I only need to work hard to impress the coach and my team mates for them to know that I can do it any time I am called upon,” he added.

Yaw Yeboah was a member of the Ghana U-20 team that lost out of the 2017 U-20 AFCON qualification to Senegal on goals aggregate and also represented Ghana at the World Youth Championship in New Zealand last year.
