Attacking midfielder Yaw Yeboah has been handed a late Black Stars call-up to represent his country in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Sudan.

Ghana is set to face off with Sudan in a double-header clash where both countries will be fighting for points to enhance their chances of securing qualification to the 2021 AFCON tournament.

Due to an injury to Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, he is unable to arrive in Ghana for the two qualifying matches.

In a bid to fill the void that has been left by the midfield maestro, Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor has reportedly invited Poland-based Yaw Yeboah.

The former Ghana U-23 captain has been in top form for his Wisla Krakow outfit this season and has been called to the national team to help the team in the upcoming crucial matches.
