Be proud, you have made Ghanaians happy by winning WAFU B Cup - Kurt Okraku to Black Princesses

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has commended the Black Princesses on their triumph in the 2023 WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations tournament.

The Ghana U20 Girls national team on Saturday, June 3, was crowned Champions of the maiden tournament after beating Nigeria on penalties in the final.

Engaging the Black Princesses on Sunday, GFA boss Kurt Okraku congratulated the team, adding that they have made all Ghanaians proud.

''Football is all about team work and your head coach and his assistants showcased that throughout the tournament. They have worked with unity and we are grateful and thankful to them.

''You have made all Ghanaians both home and abroad happy throughout the tournament. Winning this trophy was possible because you all came together to work and achieve this success,” Kurt Okraku said.

He added, ''You were disciplined and stayed together right from the beginning. You should be very happy and proud as a team for what you have achieved.”

Meanwhile, the Ghana FA president has pledged that the association will continue to support women’s football in the country.
