Youngster Nico Williams among talented youngsters named in Spain’s provisional squad for World Cup

Spain-born forward of Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams has been named in the provisional squad of Spain submitted to FIFA ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The talented youngster only debuted for the Spain senior national team in September during the international break.

He was a second-half substitute in the defeat to Switzerland and provided the assist for Spain’s only goal in the win against Portugal.

Since returning to Athletic Bilbao after that two games for Span, Nico Williams has set his sigh on making the national team squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Fortunately for the attacker, he has now been included in the 55-man squad submitted to FIFA by Spain national team head coach Luiz Henrique.

He is one of a number of talented youngsters in the squad and must continue working hard to stay in top form to secure a place in the final 26-man squad.

The squad list will be made public by FIFA on November 10.
