Ex-Black Stars defender Joe Addo has launched scathing attack on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as the nation heads to the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a part-time coach.

Otto Addo is currently working on a part-time basis as Ghana coach and his assistant George Boateng has also taken up a punditry job with beIN Sports for this World Cup.

Addo, who represented Ghana at the 1992 Africa Cup of Nations, told GH One TV, "You're going there with a part time Coach? Are you kidding me, in this day and age?"

"We must have a substantive Coach to go to World Cup. Either we have a permanent coach or we don't have a coach."

Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H of the global showpiece which takes place between November 21 and December 18, 2022.

Black Stars will take on Switzerland in another preparatory game on November 17, seven days before their opening game at the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Portugal.

Black Stars, who make a return to the tournament after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia take on Portugal in their first game in Group H before facing South Korea and Uruguay in a repeat of the 2010 World Cup quarter-final.
