Yunus Musah, a USMNT and Valencia player, has stated that leaving Arsenal for the Spanish club was "difficult."

After spending his whole early career at Arsenal FC, the winger joined Spanish first tier side Valencia on a free transfer in August 2019.

Since then, he's established himself in Valencia's first team, having been promoted from their B squad and made 35 appearances in all competitions this season.

Arsenal fans will be concerned that the 18-year-old will follow in the footsteps of a long line of talented players who have left the club and established themselves elsewhere.

Despite Valencia's troubles in general, the youngster has showed signs of being a potential star.

What the future holds remains to be seen, but Musah has confessed that leaving Arsenal in the rearview mirror was painful.

“I had very good years at Arsenal FC; I enjoyed it a lot,” he told COPE.

“I have great memories. But I made a decision to improve my career as a footballer.

“The decision was quick: they had a lot of interest in me, with very big players and history.

“The project that was offered to me made it a clear decision. I had to do it to help my future. It was difficult to leave Arsenal," he concluded.
