Yves Bissouma is 'ideal partner' for Thomas Partey in midfield - Former Arsenal striker Campbell

Former Arsenal striker, Kevin Campbell says Brighton & Hove Albion ace Yves Bissouma would be the perfect midfield partner for Ghanaian international Thomas Partey.

The Gunners finished 8th in the Premier League last season and will not participate in any European competition for the first time in over a quarter of a century.

Brighton defender Ben White became the club’s third signing of the summer on Friday but Arteta and technical director Edu are expected to seal more arrivals in the coming weeks.

"Bissouma, for me, he is the ideal partner in there for Thomas Partey," Campbell told Highbury Squad.

"He is combative, he is a lot better on the ball than people give him credit for, the kid can play.

"He is young, he knows the Premier League, he is tough, he tracks back, he puts the tackles in, he is box-to-box. If you need him to, he can hold.

"That’s my guy."

Bissouma has been linked with an exit from Brighton this summer but would likely cost well in excess of £30m.
