Goals from Casemiro, Marco Asensio and Isco set up a 3-0 win over Las Palmas at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane rested midfielder Luka Modric, while slotting Marco Asensio in attack along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema. Also of note in the French boss' starting XI was the inclusion of Jesus Vallejo at centre-back.

Zidane said afterwards: "I'm happy for Asensio's goal, it was fantastic, for the three points, the goal to zero, I leave with the feeling that we played a good game, it was important to win after the two losses.

"In the second half we were better, I told them we had to play faster and we did it, it's our game, we played a very serious game."

Isco and Asensio are now Real's leading goalscorers.

Zidane added: "It's time, Cristiano and Benzema do things right on the field, Isco's goal comes from a cross by Cristiano Ronaldo, now he's passing, the streaks change."
