Left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko is excited about the prospect of further success with Manchester City, having signed a three-year contract extension.

The 22-year-old Ukraine international is now under contract with the Citizens until the summer of 2024, having moved to Manchester from Russian side FC Ufa in July 2016.

I am now completely focused on the coming years and I know more good times are around the corner.

Since then he has made just over 40 appearances in all competitions, having spent the 2016/17 season out on loan at PSV Eindhoven.

On the international front Zinchenko has won nearly 30 caps for his country and was a member of the Ukraine squad at the European Championship finals of 2016.

Zinchenko told his club's official website: "It's difficult to express how happy I am to sign this deal. This club offers players everything they need to improve and develop, so being here for five more years is an honour.

"This season shows we are built for success. It's been amazing to be involved in such a historic campaign and it's one I'll never forget.

"But I am now completely focused on the coming years and I know more good times are around the corner."

City retained their Premier League title last season and became the first side to clinch a domestic treble in England as they also triumphed in the League Cup and the FA Cup, having opened the campaign with victory in the Community Shield.

The previous season they won both the league title and the League Cup.

The Citizens are 4/6 to be Premier League champions again next season, while they are 10/3 to lift the FA Cup and 4/1 to triumph in the Champions League for the first time in their history.
