Marco Asensio has been a sensation since he arrived at Real Madrid, and the 20-year-old has his whole career ahead of him to accomplish great things in Spain.

Asensio has been given an impressive amount of playing time since his arrival in the summer after serving a loan spell at Espanyol, and has repaid the debt by scoring some excellent strikes.

He is already being compared to a certain great at rival club Barcelona, who is rated by some as the greatest player the game has ever seen. Apparently, manager Zinedine Zidane has not seen a more deadly left foot since Lionel Messi.

Zidane spends a lot of time working with Asensio on a one-to-one basis, believing that he can grow as a player to become the best in the world one day. The Spanish midfielder has massive shoes to fill there though, so the flattering comparison has some way to go before being fulfilled.

Marca's reporter writes that, "He felt that tingling that runs through your body when you hear something nice about you from a person you appreciate', perhaps through telepathy. In any case, themidfielder's future is extremely bright."

The recent Ballon d'Or results show that speculation over the winner is pretty much a farce- take your pick between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo - but maybe Marco Asensio is the name that will eventually break up the monotony.
