Zinedine Zidane 'Happy' After Real Madrid's 3-0 Win Over Atletico Madrid

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed his satisfaction after seeing his side dismantle title rivals Atletico Madrid 3-0 on Saturday.

A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped Real ease past Atletico, with the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Yannick Carrasco posing little in the way of problems for Zidane's side.

Speaking to Real Madrid'sofficial club websiteafter the game, Zidane confirmed he was happy with the result.

"We played a great game right from the beginning against tough opposition in a stadium where it is difficult to come and win. We read the game well, went in strong and I am happy with what we did because very few teams come here and win 0-3," Zidane stated.

I am satisfied because it is not easy. The first 45 minutes were phenomenal. We had a few difficulties at the start of the second half, but it is normal because of the pressure the opposition put you under.

"After that we plugged away keeping up the good work we were doing. We had the right intensity against a tough rival who always make life hard for us here. We didn't lose the ball much.

When asked whether the result had taken his club another step closer to the La Liga title, Zidane explained how his side must continue to win games, and that his side have won nothing yet.

No, not at all. I am happy with the game and that is that. We haven't won anything, just a game. We know the difficulties we will face right up to the end. We are in a good dynamic and we want to continue like this. Now we have a difficult game in the Champions League
