Zlatan Ibrahimovic Missing Out on Easy Money as He Remains Without a Boot Sponsor

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could potentially be missing out on millions of pounds for failing to secure a boot deal with a top sports designer, according to reports inThe Sun.

The Swede, who has found the net 26 times this season, proved to be the difference between United and Southampton in last weekend's EFL Cup final at Wembley as he scored twice, including the winner in the last few minutes.

Despite being on a multi-million pound contract at Old Trafford, Ibrahimovic continues to miss out on a lucrative boot deal and has been without a sponsor since his 16-year partnership with Nike broke down last summer, ahead of his move from PSG to Manchester.

Seeing as the enigmatic forward is forever in the limelight, it is all the more remarkablethat he has yet to secure a new boot deal considering his marketability.

Ibrahimovic continued to wear Nike boots at the beginning of the season, however he was seen wearing an Adidas pair during the 3-2 victory over the Saints last Sunday, although it is not thought that any deal has been struck with the latter.

Ibrahimovic's fellow striker and teammate, Marcus Rashford, is understood to be less than a year into a 5-year deal with Nike, who will pay him an estimated £2m across that period to wear their brand.

Whilst Ibrahimovic may be missing out on easy money when it comes to boot sponsorship, the former Swedish international clearly has more pressing matters on his mind; namely whether to sign a one-year contract extension with the Red Devils or begin to search for a new club when his current deal expires in the summer.
