2018 CAF CONFED. CUP: Eric Donkor sad after Kotoko's exit

Published on: 21 February 2018

After Asante Kotoko's painful exit from the CAF Confederations Cup on Wednesday in Congo, defender Eric Donkor has expressed his unhappiness about his outfit elimination from the competition. After beating CARA by a lone goal in the first league, the FA Cup champions lose 7-6 penalty to Congolese Club CARA Brazzaville. Kotoko failed to protect their 1-0 first-leg advantage as they conceded to take the game to penalty shootouts. The defender who was substituted due to injury could not hide his frustrations by the team’s exit from Africa’s inter-club competition.

The Reds have failed to qualify for the CAF interclub competition in the last edition.
