Asante Kotoko eager to bring Ainooson back to the club - Michael Osei

Interim Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Michael Osei has reiterated the club's desire in bringing Abeiku Ainooson back to their fold after his loan spell with Dreams FC.

Abeiku Ainooson, who was voted as the best defender in the Ghana Premier League in the 2013/14 season left the shores of the country last year in search of greener pastures with Al Hilal on a season long loan, but returned to the local league after it emerged that he is having contractual issues with Sudanese giants.

And upon his return to the country, Abeiku was loaned out to league debutants Dreams FC, where he helped the club sustained their premiership status with stellar performances, and this has caught the eye of his parent club as they hope to recall the player back to the side ahead of next season.

"We gave him out to Dreams FC because when he came back from Sudan, we felt he wasn't ready to join the team straight away and by then he was not part of our plans for the season."

"Notwithstanding, we all knew the qualities he possesses, but because we felt he wouldn't have much playing time, that why we sent him to Dreams FC so that it wouldn't affect his confidence. It's very unfortunate that he could not continue his stint with Al Hilal."

"He'll come back to Kotoko next season. I had a dialogue with him before he moved to Dreams and I've been talking frequently to C.K Akunnor about him. I'm very glad he's once again proven to everyone how good he is with the strong performances he showed last season and i believe if he comes back he'll beef up set up for next season," Michael Osei concluded.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko finished in 5th position in the just ended Ghana Premier League.
