Ghana midfielder, Bernard Mensah played his first game for Kayserispor on Monday night in their opening 2-0 win over ten-man Antalyaspor.
But Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan was an unused substitute.
Mensah was handed a starting role and replaced on the 90th-minute mark.
The 23 year old is on a season-long loan move from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
Goals from Tjaronn Chery and Umut Bulut ensured Kayserispor started their campaign with a win.
