Betting Company Soccabet are set to unveil sponsorship packages for six Ghanaian clubs, ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League.
Four Ghana Premier League sides, Wa All Stars, who are former GPL Champions, as well as Berekum Chleasea, Inter Allies and Ebusua Dwarfs will join two clubs from the lower divisions for the packages from Soccabet.
According to reports the Premier League clubs have agreed the terms of the contract with an official announcement expected to be made in the coming days.
The sponsorship deal bring to the fore the latest betting industry to monopolise the sponsorship sector of football in Ghana.
Meanwhile, other clubs which have secured sponsorships from Betting companies include Ashantigold, Aduana Stars, Medeama and Liberty, who are sponsored by Betway with Dreams FC on the books of Mybet.
These clubs will now be able to challenge for Premier League honours as they can inject the money into new players and new infrastructure, giving them a better chance of winning.
