Concerned Mata seeks Man Utd contract talks

Juan Mata is eager to open new contract talks with Manchester United.

The midfielder is represented by his father and is keen to sign a new long term contract at Old Trafford, says The Sun.

But United are relaxed about the situation and are in no rush to meet them.

They know they have him for another 12 months and also have the option to extend his stay by a further year until 2019.

The 29-year-old joined United for a club record fee of £37.1million in January 2014 from Chelsea.
