Aduana Stars striker Derick Sasraku has been given a two year contract extension after helping the club win the Ghana Premier League last season.

The striker was key in the Dormaa-based side’s triumph last season after scoring five goals and providing several assist as the team went on to win the League.

Aduana Stars will represent Ghana at the CAF Confederations Cup and the club has rewarded some of their key players with new contracts.

Sasraku contract with the club expired at the end of last season and was linked with several clubs including Accra Hearts of Oak and an unknown Zambia club.

The 23 year old rejected a move to Ethiopia to extend his stay with the fire boys.

He joins the likes of Elvis Opoku and goalkeeper Joseph Addo who all extended their contracts with Aduana Stars at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Premier League Champions are also expected to hand new deals to skipper Emmanuel Akuoko, Bright Adjei, Anokye Badu,  Noah Martey and Daniel Darkwah.

Aduana Stars returns to Africa for the first time in seven years.

The two-time Ghana Champions last played in the CAF Champions League in 2010 when they won the Ghana Premier League in their maiden edition in the domestic top-flight.
