Dreams FC coach CK Akunnor happy with his side's improvement ahead of Asante Kotoko showdown

C.K Akonnor says his sides improved performance in the second round of the ongoing League is very exciting. Dreams FC is the most in-form team of the second round having recorded four wins in the last six matches and losing only once in the last four.

Speaking to dreamsfc.com ahead of the weekend fixture against former Champions Asante Kotoko, Manager Akonnor believes his players have improved tremendously in the second round.

“I’m grateful and happy that we’ve improved in that sense and we are getting results. But I must say a big thank you to the management.” He told www.dreamsfc.com.

“When we ended the first round, they brought in some guys who have strengthened our back and so we concede goals but not like before and of course, we’ve also improved as a team.”

Manager Akonnor still expects more from his players against a poor Kotoko side who are without a win in their last four matches. The former Ghana captain wants his team to keep their focus and remain discipline.

“Whether we take advantage of that or not, we as Dreams FC have done well in the previous matches that we’ve played and we’re confident. We believe that if we continue with the way we play and our eyes will be on the ball, we’ll have good results.”

“Michael Osei as I know is a big brother, it’s unfortunate that he’s going through this, he’s served this club [Kotoko] for quite some time now and I think all he needs is the support.”

“Sometimes, in this game we have ups and downs and I think he’s in a bit of downwards situation now and he needs the support of his fans and of course, his colleagues who he’s working with, his technical bench and everybody.”

“I feel sorry for him in that situation but we need to go there and do well.
