Emmanuel Frimpong set to play alongside Awal Mohammed at Russian side Arsenal Tula after securing a deal.

Russian Premier League side Arsenal Tula will have two Ghanaians in their fold next season after capturing former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong who joins his Ghanaian compatriot Awal Mohammed. Arsenal Tula captured the Ghana international midfielder for free on a two-year-contract.

Emmanuel Frimpong, 24, who has been capped once by Ghana, will now play alongside Ghana defender Awal Mohammed who joined the Russian side earlier.

The former Arsenal midfielder took to his official Twitter account to confirm the move and wrote; "back in Russian premier league again with @pfc_arsenal I hope we can have a fantastic season and I can repay ur debt."

Frimpong who started his career at Arsenal in 2011 failed to settle in Russia earlier with Ufa and was released from his deal but seeks to bounce back upon his return. Emmanuel Frimpong signs
