Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah to consider rotation of Black Stars captaincy

Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah is considering a rotational policy of the Black Stars captaincy.

Appiah who is unable to consistently have his current team captain Asamoah Gyan available for all games due to persistent injury, believes it will be a good idea to adopt Brazilian coach Tite's philosophy of rotating the captain's armband.

In an interview with Metro TV's Ernest Koranteng, Kwesi Appiah believes the rotational policy will help bring the best out of particular players.

“Gyan is the captain until I decide to change him but maybe I will consider rotating it like you said to take away the pressure and controversy that comes with it.

"I always tell my players to be captains of their positions. Players are at their best when you give them responsibilities.” Appiah said.
