Ghanaian defenders Fosu-Mensah and Schullp featured as Crystal Palace lose to Liverpool

Defenders Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Jeffrey Schlupp were involved in action as Crystal Palace lost to Liverpool at Anfield.

Senegalese Sadio Mane scored the only goal as the Eagles in the match day two of the English Premier League.

Timothy Fosu Mensah who is on loan from Manchester United played the entire duration forming a back line of three with James Tomkins and Scot Dann.

The Dutch-born Ghana impressed playing on the right side of the back three stopping the runs of Mohammed Sallah and at times Sadio Mane.

Meanwhile, wing back Jeffrey Schullp came on in the 84th minute to replace Patrick Van Anholt.

The Ghana left back had a decent game with a couple on runs on the left but could not trouble the defense of the home side.
