Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Frank Nutall says his side could have picked all three points if they had taken their chances, but was pleased with the result at the end of a controversial game.

Accra Hearts of Oak drew with arch rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the outstanding game of the Ghana Premier League. Striker Kwame Kizito opened the scoring for the Phobians on the hour mark before former Ghana under-17 star Saddick Adams pulled parity from the spot after referee Dally Gagba had awarded the host a penalty.

Scottish trainer, Frank Nuttal said after the game they could have been more goals up in the first half, had they taken their chances.

“I think it was part of a very very exciting game and both teams came and played with very high intensity. I must congratulate both teams for the show they put on and the spectacle they gave today, I think it was fantastic,” Nuttal said after the game.

“In the first half, I think if we took are chances we were clear and second half both sides were at it, they were really going for it. We are fortunate; we got a well taken goal from Kizito, from good work by Cobinna and Fatawu, so very well done. To be honest, it looked like the only way they were going to be back was through a penalty,” he added.

The Accra-based club are third on the league log and are chasing a first league title since 2007.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Premier League is on a month break allowing players with the Black Stars team B to return to camp as they continue with preparations for the CHAN qualifiers and the WAFU tournament to be hosted in the country.
