Barcelona defender, Javier Mascherano, has revealed the inspiring rallying cry from the unlikely source of Marc-Andre ter Stegen during their dramatic Champions League win over PSG.

The Spanish side needed to win by four clear goals just to force the tie into extra time, so when Edinson Cavani found the back of the net to make it 3-1, the tie looked as if it was well and truly over.

"After we conceded the goal, Ter Stegen started screaming: 'We never die, we are Barcelona!" Mascheranosaidafter the game. "He continued screaming: 'We will win. We will win!' At one point I told Busquets that Ter Stegen wasn't okay."

The goal meant that Barcelona needed to find another three goals to go through to the next round, meaning that one of the greatest Champions League comebacks in the history of the competition was the only way that the Catalan club could progress.

A spectacular Neymar free-kick was followed by a well-finished penalty before the Brazilianset local lad Sergi Roberto up with the chance to writehis name in the Barcelona history books.

Speaking after grabbing the late winner, Roberto said:"When I woke up, I wasn't sure if it hadn't all been a dream.I didn't see a thing until the ball went in. I could see that [Gerard]Pique hadn't reached it and I threw everything at it. It went in and we all went crazy."

The 25-year-old continued:"We could feel that the Camp Nou was buzzing. We could really feel the fans' support - I simply have no words to explain how it felt.

"I had always dreamed of scoring a goal like that and being a lad from La Masia made it all the more special. I've worked so long to do something incredible like this for my club."
