Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says he is proud to play alongside legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon at Juventus.
The 29 year old revealed the Italian has been an inspiration for him before joining the Turin Club, five seasons ago.
According to Asamoah, the experienced goalkeeper helped him settle in Juventus and its such a privilege to have been in the same team with Buffon.
“Buffon is the captain and the example for everyone. He is always ready to help you. Also Andrea (Barzagli ed) and Giorgio (Chiellini) have always been very available.
“I played a lot with them and they helped me. At the beginning it was not easy, it was the first time I played for a great club. All these people have helped me to be as I am now.
“It is fantastic to train with him and he has always been in five years. I’ll never forget it. Even when I stop playing I’ll always be proud to say I’ve played with him. He is a great person, a legend.
Kwadwo Asamoah has played alongside Buffon for five years and counting and both have been extremely successful with the old ladies.
Buffon, a world Cup winner has been to the mundial five times but resigned from International duty after failing to qualify Italy to Russia 2018.
The 39 year old has played 498 times for Juventus and is an iconic figure in Italian football.
