Kwesi Appiah grateful to President Akufo-Addo for a second chance at Black Stars job

Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah has thanked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his support in his return to the national team.

Kwesi Appiah who had the backing of all Ghanaians including the president of the land, acknowledged His Excellency for his support in ensuring he returned to help elevate Ghana football to the zenith.

Kwesi Appiah was fired after the 2014 FIFA World Cup but has been given a second chance by Ghanaians and the Ghana FA.

"I always believe the voice of the people is the voice of God and will take this opportunity to thank the president of the nation, the GFA and every Ghanaian for giving me the second chance to coach the national team."

He is expected to assume his role as Black Stars coach on May 1st after agreeing to a two-year contract.
