Former Inter Milan football chief Leonardo has slammed the club's management team.
The Nerazzurri are in crisis after yet another defeat - this time to Genoa - on Sunday.
Leonardo lays the blame at the feet of the front office and their poor planning.
He told Sky Italia: "There is no reference in the club today, there were no midfielders on the field who could offer quality: Joao Mario, (Ever) Banega and (Marcelo) Brozovic.
"There is a general confusion. I offer the example of Icardi: four years ago he scored so many goals but management had not seen enough to make him a reference. And without this proper management, he has not become a reference.
"It's been a cycle. €40 million for Mauro at the beginning of the year, you would now take it every time, it is a series of situations that are having a negative impact."
