Aduana Stars on Saturday halted an abysmal run of three league games without victory when they defeated Liberty Professionals 1-0 at the Nana Agyemang-Badu Park in Dormaa in the Ghana Premier League.
Bright Adjei's eighth minute strike handed the "Fire" lads all three points.
Aduana's win completed a league double over Liberty after they beat them 3-2 in the reverse fixture at the Carl Reindorf Park.
The league topscorer Aduana's Yahaya Mohammed was unable to add to his 11 goal tally, spurning some scoring opportunities.
Liberty dominated possession after the break but were unable to penetrate the solid Aduana defence.
The game ended on a sour note for Aduana who lost winger Richard Mpong to injury.
It is unclear how long the diminutive player who was replaced by Derrick Sasraku will be out for.
