Tema Youth moved away from the relegation zone after an emphatic 3-1 win over Inter Allies at the Tema Stadium on Sunday.
The Harbour Boys truncated Allies four-game unbeaten run which included a 1-0 midweek win over Kotoko.
The loss left Allies outside the top four places while Tema Youth moved to 12th place on the league table, two points outside the relegation zone with seven games remaining.
Abdul Nasiru gave the visitors the lead in the 39th minute but that lasted for five minutes as Francis Adjetey restored parity on the brink of half time.
The momentum obviously was on the side of the home team and they made it count as James Akmainko scored a stunning goal before Joseph Painstil secured maximum points with a neat effort on 63 minutes, his eighth of the campaign.
