Published on: 29 April 2017

Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso could not do enough as his Granada side got relegated after a 2-1 defeat at the Anoeta to Real Sociedad.

Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela opened the scoring for La Real before Andrian Ramos leveled for Granada but a stunning strike from Juanmi ended the La Liga status for Granada.

Midfielder Mubarak Wakaso played no part in his sides last two games under former Arsenal legend Tony Adams.

Granada are however reported to be interested in signing the on loan Ghanaian on a permanent basis from Panathaniakos.

The hard tackling midfielder has featured 11 times for the Spanish club since he joined in January.

Granada could be joined in the Segunda division by Osasuna and Sporting Gijon, with Leganes also fighting for survival.
