New Edubaise United have officially withdrawn from the Ghana Premier League citing debts arising costs from playing away from from the Bekwai Park as their reason.

Club President Abdul Salam Yakubu who had earlier hinted his plans to withdraw from the League but his club have now officially served the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Premier League Board (PLB) with a notice indicating they have pulled out of the League.

The letter which was cited by Ghanafans.com indicated that the Y3nkokoaa lads were struggling to raise funds to run the club after falling foul of the Club Licensing rule which caused their ejection from Bekwai to thiume Len Clay Stad.

Details of the letter include Edubiase complaining about poor officiating against them throughout the 13-week old campaign.

Their withdrawal is subject to approval from the GFA Congress and they will also be subject to sanctions from the GFA as well as face lawsuits from their staff and players.

The development means New Edubiase will not honour their League game against Medeama SC at the Takwa T&A Park on Sunday.

New Edubiase are currently lying bottom of the League table with 12 points after 14 matches.
