Okyeman Planners petition FIFA to reinstate George Afriyie as Ghana FA vice

Published on: 19 June 2018

Okyeman Planners have officially petitioned FIFA to reinstate George Afriyie to his position as Vice President of the Ghana Football Association.

This comes after Mr Afriyie was removed as the vice president of the Ghana Football Association when he declared his intention to contest for the 2019 Ghana FA top post.

But according to Planners, they have told FIFA in their petition that Mr Afriyie’s removal was in contravention of the statues of the Ghana FA.

The letter detailed how some members of the Executive Committee of the Ghana FA, masterminded George Afriyie’s removal from office.

After he was removed from office, former president of the Ghana FA, Kwesi Nyantakyi failed to appoint a successor.

However, George Afriyie has not been formally written about his removal from office as the GFA only used it’s Twitter handle to confirm the news.

Below is the letter sent to FIFA by Okyeman Planners.
